Il fatto è che io so come funzionano certe cose. I corrispondenti italiani, per giustificare i loro alti stipendi da “sede disagiata” (sic), tipo cinque-sei operai di Pomigliano D’Arco, pescano le notizie dai media russi, le traducono e le inviano in Italia come farina del loro sacco. I loro colleghi in Patria ritengono che dunque si tratti di informazione carpita dai loro corrispondenti, e perciò che si tratti di rivelazioni compromettenti. Il cerchio si chiude quando a quel punto chiedono a me o a qualche altro russo un commento circa queste notizione, che ci comunicano perfettamente convinti che noi ne siamo all’oscuro a causa della presunta longa manu di Putin.

L’altro giorno Putin è stato mostrato alla guida di un aereo antincendio. Non discuto dell’opportunità mediatica, certo è che, con la sua nota preparazione militare, se l’è cavata bene, e non riuscirei ad immaginare altrettanto pensando ad Andreotti, Berlusconi, Prodi, Veltroni, Bersani, Vendola. Ma non importa. Quel che è stato specificato nei media russi è che Putin ha svolto il ruolo di secondo pilota, quello, per intenderci, addetto a pescare l’acqua dai bacini nelle poche decine di metri in cui l’aereo rasenta il pelo dell’acqua, e a scaricarla sull’epicentro dell’incendio. E’ quel che ha fatto. La guida vera e propria dell’aereo era affidata al primo pilota, un professionista della Protezione Civile (il cui capo, il ministro Šojgù, era anch’esso presente sul velivolo). Nulla di tutto ciò è trapelato nei media italiani, che anzi affermano che siano piovute fior di critiche da tutti i media russi, del tipo “Putin la smetta di spegnere gli incendi, pensi piuttosto a come spegnerli”. Mi pare una logica bestiale, ma, anche qui, non discuto.

Chi sono, questi “tutti” media russi? Si scopre che sono due newspapers in all. The first, "Moskovskij Komsomolec" is presented as an authoritative newspaper traditionally subservient to Putin's entourage. Ask any Russian.
